Arizona Lottery — Willie's First Annual Virtual Holiday Party
When you’re the Chief Fun Officer of the state’s Lottery, you can’t just have a normal holiday party. That’s why the Arizona Lottery gave their CFO a three-hour, livestreamed talk show featuring some of the biggest names in Arizona. Players tuned in for a chance to win prizes while we raised awareness for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Arizona—an organization dedicated to speaking up for abused and neglected children in court.
Hosted by Windfall Willie and his sidekick Derek, the Arizona Lottery’s “Virtual Holiday Party Giveaway” had guests such as the Executive Chef of Fat Ox, the Bracken School of Irish Dance, Phoenix band Jared and the Mill, Luchadores wrestlers, the first-ever Arizona Lottery Artist in Residence and many more. Throughout the stream, Willie and Derek gave away more than $5,000 in prizes to players—almost one every two minutes—including an entertainment center, a two-night stay at one of the Valley’s premier hotels, $250 Visa gift cards and much more. Plus, one lucky winner took home a grand prize of $1,000.
Best of all, for every unique viewer to the stream, the Lottery donated $1 to CASA, up to $25,000. The stream was nothing short of a success. Over the course of two hours and forty-one-minute live event, this livestream organically reached nearly 50,000 people, had more than 68,000 engagements and had an average video watch time and engagement rate well above industry standards.
